I want to admit my son in class 5 under the W.B.B.S.E whose date of birth is 20-07-2012. whether he is entitled to get admission in the said class in the next academic session 2022

Age criteria required to get admission in Class 5th of WBBSE:

The basic age criteria required to get admission in Class 5th of WBBSE board is as follows,

>> The minimum age required for 5th class is 10 years.

>> And the maximum age should not exceed 11 years.

>> Hence, as your child is getting 10 years I can say he or she is eligible for getting admission as per my best knowledge.

The age criteria for admission in Class 5th in WBBSE (West Bengal Board of Secondary Education) is the age of 10 years and above but less than 11 years of age. In terms of Rule 2(1)(c) of West Bengal Right of Children to Free & Compulsory Education Rules, 2012, published in the Extra-ordinary Kolkata Gazette, the President, West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, notify the information the 'age for admission' as follows.

--> Class I - 6 years and above but less than 7 years of age.
--> Class II - 7 years and above but less than 8 years of age.
--> Class III - 8 years and above but less than 9 years of age.
--> Class IV - 9 years and above but less than 10 years of age.
--> Class V - 10 years and above but less than 11 years of age.
--> Class VI - 11 years and above but less than 12 years of age.
--> Class VII - 12 years and above but less than 13 years of age.
--> Class VIII - 13 years and above but less than 14 years of age.
