I am resident of punjab. I have passed matric from punjab and completed 12th from medical field from himachal pradesh. Now can i apply for punjab pmt?

Yes, you are eligible to appear for PMT examination conducted for admission of candidates in medical MBBS/BDS courses.

The eligibility to appear for examination is :-

Candidate must have passed or pursuing 10+2 from any recognised board.

Candidate's age must be above 17 years as on 31st December of year of appearing for examination.

Candidate must have PCB and English as main paper in 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate and 10% relaxation for reserved category.

Seat are reserved as follows :

• 85% for candidates having Punjab domicile
• 15% candidates from all over India

So, if you have Punjab state domicile then you will be under 85% quota otherwise you will be in 15% quota. But in both the cases you are eligible for Punjab PMT.

Eligibility criteria for Punjab Medical Entrance Exam that is conducted by Baba Farid University, Faridkot every year.

A candidate must have done 12th from from recognized board with medical stream with at least 45% marks and 40% for SC/ST.

If you are a residential candidates of Punjab then you are eligible for Punjab PMT exam.

Those candidates who have completed 12th standard with above 50% marks are eligible for Punjab PMT exam but your 12th standard subject are Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. For SC/ST candidate this percentage is reduced to 40%. Your age should be in between 17 to 26 years.

Yes with domicile of Punjab you are eligible to appear for PMT examination. PMT stands for Pre Medical Test.

The examination is conducted for admission of candidates in MBBS or BDS courses in government and private colleges of Punjab. The minimum eligibility to appear for examination is candidate have 50% in PCB+English from any recognised board. The age of candidates should be above 17 years as on December 31st of year of appearing for examination.
