Re: Can a commerce student (SEBA) join Indian Airforce in any way?
Yes, a commerce student from SEBA can join the Indian Air Force in various positions like accounts officer, administrative officer, logistics officer, education officer, and meteorology officer. However, for most of these positions, the candidates need to have a graduation degree with specific subjects, as mentioned in the eligibility criteria of the Indian Air Force.
To join the Indian Airforce, the candidates need to appear for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT), which is conducted twice a year by the Indian Air Force. The eligibility criteria for AFCAT include age limit, educational qualification, nationality, and physical standards. For example, to become an Accounts Officer in the Indian Airforce, a candidate must be a Commerce graduate and should have passed CA/ICWA with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Similarly, to become an Administrative Officer, a candidate must have completed graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or equivalent. Therefore, it's advisable for a commerce student to check the eligibility criteria for the particular position they are interested in and prepare accordingly for the AFCAT exams. |
