yes you can because you are from commerce stream and you will be at leftinent post in indian army not in indian navy and indian air force.

Dear you can apply for indian army, if you have 12th then you cn apply for indian army,
if your age is in between 17-19 then you can apply for NDA.

Yeah the option is that you can write the NDA exam which is one of the entrance exam conducted by UPSC every year.

National Defence Academy

There are certain criteria's which you must satisfy to write this exam and they may include:

-> Candidates must have a citizenship in India.

-> Candidates must be a unmarried male candidate.

-> Candidate must have a age limit of 16 1/2-19 years.

-> Candidates must have finished their +2 from a recognized board for joining in Indian Army.

-> Candidates who are appearing for the exam must be physically fit as far regarding the physical standards.

Commerce students can join Indian defence forces right after completing 10+2.

For this you need to appear for National Defence Academy (NDA) examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). NDA is conducted twice in a year in the month of April and August.

Eligibilty of NDA exam : To be eligible for NDA examination, the candidate must be a male Indian candidate within the age limit of 16 1/2 to 19 years on the date of joining. Along with this, the candidate must have did 10+2 with any of the stream.

no, commerce student can't join Indian Army after 12th.

after 12th only science stream holder are only can join in the Indian Army.

through the NDA exam science stream holder can join in the Indian Army.

this NDA exam is conducted by UPSC govt.

only male candidate are allow for the NDA exam.

Yes, being a commerce student after 12th you can join Indian Army for which you have to appear for NDA exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II.

You should either pass or final 12th appearing student from any stream in order to appear for NDA exam within the age group of 16.5 years to 19 years of age unmarried male Indian citizen. Certain physical fitness is also required to join Indian Army.

How To Join Indian Army After 12th

In order to join the Indian Army..a candidate must clear the NDA (National Defence Academy) Exam which is conducted twice every year by the UPSC in the months of April and August..

For appearing in the NDA exam..a candidate must fulfill the following minimum eligibility criterion :-

1) The candidate must be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years

2) The candidate must be a 12th pass out from a recognized board in any stream..

You need to first clear the written exam,then the interview and the medical examination..

The written exam shall test you on the following things :-

General knowledge
English
Basic Maths

You must also be physically fit and should have a perfect eyesight..

The next NDA exam is going to be conducted on 15th april,2012 for which the forms shall be available from 31st December,2011 and the last date for submission of the filled up forms is 30th January,2012..
