I want to secure admission in NIT, Srinagar. But I have scored 105 marks in JEE Main and secured 86.8% in 12th standard. My AIR in JEE Main is 132569. I am from Jammu & Kashmir. So, can I get admission in NIT, Srinagar?

NIT stands for National Institute of Technology. It is one of the best institute for pursuing Bachelor's degree in engineering after Indian Institute of Technology. The admission in various NITs is given on basis of rank secured in examination called Joint Entrance Examination.

With rank of 1,32,569 in JEE, there is no chance of getting admission in NIT Srinagar even when you are from Jammu and Kashmir. The admission to NITs is closed around rank of 30,000 to 35,000 and it may extend for reserved category candidates. But at this rank, there is no change for admission.

AIR of 132569 is not enough to get admission in NIT. You must have rank below 30000 then only there will be some chance of admission in a NIT or government college.

You can only get admission in some private college if you are looking for admission through counselling based on rank.

Although with 105 marks in Joint Entrance Examination Main, you have qualified in this examination but you can get admission in any National Institute of Technology because your rank is too high to get admission in NIT, Srinagar.

Last year cut off ranks suggests that general candidates having rank below 10,000 have good chance of getting admission in NIT, Srinagar.

Since you got 132569 AIR. It seems very tough to get admission in NIT Srinagar. NIT Srinagar comes under one of the many reputed institutions regarding engineering.
Following streams offered by NIT Srinagar.

*. Mechanical Engineering
*. Chemical Engineering
*. Aeronautical Engineering
But having decent marks in 12th standard & JEE (105 marks) You are eligible to get admission in some reputed private & govt. engineering college.

NSIT
WCTM etc.
To get admission in any college you should appear for counselling where you will be guided the best according to your interest, eligibility, passion, scope & budget. If you belong to any reserved catagory then it will help you to get good college.
