According to your percentile you are eligible but according to the marks secured in 12th examination you are not eligible if you belong to General category. But in case if you are SC/ST then yes you can apply for JEE 2017. |

Yes, you are eligible to appear in JEE Main 2017 examination after scoring 74.2 percent marks in your 12th standard from Bihar Board. No specific percentage in 12th standard is required to appear in JEE Main examination.
Candidates who have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination in PCM stream from a Government recognised board are eligible to appear in JEE Main 2017 examination. There is no minimum age criteria required to appear in JEE Main 2017 examination. |

You have not mentioned your year of passing the 12th board examination so it is not possible to give the response to your query in Yes or No.
But, if you have passed the board examination in 2015 or 2016 then only you are to eligible for Main in 2017. Candidates passed before 2015 are not eligible to appear for examination. |

Re: Percentage of marks required in 12th for JEE Main 2017?
--> JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination and same is a single entrance examination held for admission in undergraduate technical courses in Centrally funded Institute of Technology like IIT, NIT, IIIT, ISM, etc. and other private engineering colleges.
--> JEE is held once every year by CBSE in two stages which includes JEE Main and JEE Advanced respectively. *** The minimum educational qualification required for appearing in the same examination is a higher secondary school degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects with at least 45% marks from a recognized university. * Further for admission in IIT and NIT, the minimum percentage requirement in Class 12th board examination is 75% marks or that much aggregate that makes you lie within the top 20 percentile candidate of your concerned board of examination. So having secured 74.2% marks in your Class 12th but 97.23 percentile as you satisfy the percentile norm which is sufficient for your eligibility. Re: Percentage of marks required in 12th for JEE Main 2017?
There is no roll or percentile in JEE mains exam. You must have passed 12th standard from any affiliated board to appear in JEE mains exam. With 74.2 percent marks in with PCM as the three main subjects in 12th standard, you are eligible to appear in JEE mains exam. Also, you have to fulfill the age criteria to appear in JEE mains 2017. You must be born on or after October1, 1992.
However, five years age relaxation is given to candidates from reserved category. You must be noted that the age relaxation is given in upper age limit only. |

Oh. So sorry for that. But i would say that there is a minimum requirement to score atleast 75% to get admission into NITs and IITs. But dono worry you can pursue for govt. Coleges.. and you would also get pretty branch there so all the best.
