Hi sir, I have a boy child whose date of birth is 17 Aug 2017. Is he eligible for admission in LKG for CBSE.

As per CBSE , for class 1 the child should have completed 5 years as on April 1st on that education year.

For LKG, child should have completed 3 years as on April 1st of that year .
In general 3.6 to 4.6 years are eligible for admission in LKG.

As per CBSC rules , the age limit for admission in LKG is that the child should have attained the age of 3-1/2 years as on 1st June of the respective year. For more details about this criteria, kindly visit on official website of CBSC board.

The ideal age of entry to LKG should be 4 years and STD I at 6 years.

A child who is seeking admission in Nursery class and is born on 7th April (age being less than 3 years as on 31 March) or born on 27 March (age being more than 3 years as on 31 March), then he is eligible to apply for age relaxation.

According to the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE)*guidelines, students must be between the ages of three to four years to be admitted to LKG in CBSE schools.

If your child meets the above criteria, then he is eligible for admission to LKG in CBSC schools.

Confirmation of age for admission of child in LKG from CBSE:-

The minimum age required for the child for getting admission in LKG is 3 years 6 months as on 31st March of the year of admission.

You need to submit all the documents along with an application form.

Age limit for LKG admission in CBSE school:-

The correct age of the standard should be between 3 years 6 months to 4 years 10 months to get admission in LKG.

Students must be between the ages of 3 to 4 years old to be enrolled in LKG in CBSE schools, according to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

If your child meets the above requirements, he will be admitted to CBSC schools for LKG.

In India, CBSE schools generally follow a three-stage curriculum, so:

2.5 - 3.5 years Nursery

3.5 - 4.5 years Lower Kindergarten

4.5 - 5.5 years Upper Kindergarten.
