Hi everyone, I am prepring for the Board exam of 12th standard with NIOS Board. I am interested to study BAMS course after completing my 12th. I would like to know about my eligibility for studying this BAMS course.

Eligibility to study BAMS course-

-The candidate should have completed 10+2 class with PCB stream from a recognised board.

Minimum age- 17 years
Maximum age- 25 years
However, relaxation is given to reserved category students in upper age limit.

NIOS is a recognised board and is acceptable in every University of India. Therefore, you are eligible to apply for this course.

You need to have class 12th qualification with PCB stream from a recognised board with minimum 50% marks. NIOS is a recognised open schooling board and is accepted by most of the recognized colleges and universities in India.

Just make sure you are well prepared for the entrance exam because admission will be in merit through counselling. Seats are allotted through counselling based on the rank.

Eligibility for B.A.M.S. course:

The candidate should have completed 10 + 2 with PCB stream (physics, chemistry and Biology) with at least 50% marks and relaxation of 5% is given to reserved category students.

Minimum age should not be less than 17 in the year of admission.

Maximum age should not be more than 25 years.


Being a NIOS student you are definitely eligible to apply for this course because this is accepted by each university of our country.
