Hi Sir, I have given the Board exam of 12th standard with PCM stream. I want to study BAMS course now. So, am I eligible or not to study BAMS? I am unable to get the information. So, I need to know about this. Please help me to know about this asap.

If you have taken Mathematics in 12th board then you are not eligible to pursue BAMS.
Eligibility to study BAMS are as follows:-
Candidate must have completed 12th from Science stream having PCB as main subjects.
Candidate must have scored at least 50% marks in 12th board.

The full form of BAMS is Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery.

Eligibility for BAMS course:

1. You must be 12th passed from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology as compulsory subjects.

2. Now, NEET scorecard is necessary to get admission in BAMS course.

Eligibility to study B.A.M.S. :

A candidate must have minimum qualification of 10 + 2 with PCB subjects from a recognised board with at least 50% marks and relaxation of 5% is given to reserved category students.

Candidate must have minimum age of 17 on 31st December in the year of admission.

A candidate has to qualify the entrance test conducted by the particular University where you want to take admission.

As you have completed your 12th standard with PCM stream hence you are not eligible to pursue Bachelor of Ayurvedic and Medicine Science course because in order to pursue B.A.M.S, a candidate must have completed 10 + 2 with PCB stream.

PCM students are not eligible to apply for B A M S course;-

Eligibility criteria to apply for B A M S course:-
Educational Qualification:-
Candidate should have passed 12th
with Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible to apply for this course.

The minimum marks criteria for admission is 50% marks in the 12th board examination.

Age limit:-
Age limit is between 17 years to 25 years.

Duration:-
The duration of this course is 5 years and 6 months.

As per the eligibility criteria, you must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

You are not eligible to pursue any medical course like BDS, MBBS or BAMS as Biology is mandatory to attempt these examinations. However, once you meet the minimum eligibility criteria, you can certainly apply for BAMS course.

For BAMS you have to give neet examination , as the only selection method .
And for that you have to have biology in your secondary schooling (11th and 12th) .
So you are not eligible to study BAMS

BAMS is Bachelor in Ayurveda and Medicine Surgery.

The common eligibility to get admission in the course is that candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised board.

Candidate must have passed 12th in PCB as main paper. So, you are not eligible to get admission in BAMS course after 12th in PCM.

BAMS stands for Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery. Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery is an undergraduate Ayurvedic course.

The basic eligibility required to get admission in BAMS course is the candidate should have passed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and preferably Sanskrit from a recognized board of education.

As per my knowledge, you are not eligible to get admission in Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery course after completing your 12th class with PCM subjects.

BAMS refers Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery and for pursuing the same degree course is a Class 12th in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as main subjects from a recognized board.

So, having completed your Class 12th with PCM group, you are not eligible for pursuing BAMS degree course.

To pursue any medical course like BDS, MBBS or BAMS Candidates need 12th with PCM

You must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

You are not eligible to get admission in BAMS course.

BAMS is a five and a half years long course. The last one year is dedicated towards Internship.
To join for the bachelor’s degree programme in this field, candidates should satisfy the eligibility criteria. They must have passed the higher secondary examinations or equivalent of recognized boards with PCB from any reputed institutions. Also they should have attained the age of 17 years to join for this course.
Simultaneously you should have to start the preparation of entrance exam - National eligibility entrance exam (NEET ) for better results .

I have bcb in 40% but all subjects I'll pass HSC board total 51% can I eligible for bams

BAMS eligibility criteria =
•• candidate should have pass the 10+2 examinations from a recognized board.
••candidates must have physics,chemistry, and biology subjects in 12th
••candidate secure minimum 50% total (aggregate) marks in these subjects.

°°°Also, candidates are needed to be appeared in NEET exam. Admission into the BAMS course is based on the NEET exam in many of the colleges.

Just to add:

As an international student from SEAR (South East Asian Region) I completed equivalent 12th board with PCM. I am planning to study NIOS in India and pursue BAMS.
1. Should I study Biology only in NIOS or should I study complete NIOS for 2yrs?
2. Is Next mandatory for foreign student?

I am an overseas student and completed by 12th with PCM in 2008. For studying BAMS, I am planning to study NIOS. I am trying to understand as per this document :

1. If the country I am in allows to study medicine with PCM, do I still need to have PCB?
2. If so, can I only do biology subjects from NIOS or do I need to study all?
3. May irrelevant to this topic, Couldn't find any age limit, are there any?

Entrance requirement
Completed senior secondary or Pre University or equivalent education recognised for admission to medical graduate courses in respective countries.

Dear sir I have done 12th with PCM , I don't have Biology in 12th ,
But now I am giving single subject Biology exam private from UP board ,now can I eligible for BAMS or any medical subject.Please clarify
