How can I become Officer in Indian Navy after completing 12th?
Hello friends,
I am a grade 12 student and I want to get into the Indian Navy next year because I know that I will pass so my question is where do I start in persuing my dream as an Navy Officer? How do I get into the Indian Navy after my 12th? |

After completion of your class 12 with a good percentage apply for National defence academy examination (NDA) which is conducted by Union public service commission (UPSC) every year for the the recruitment of candidates into Army, Navy and Air wing.
* Every year the NDA exam notification will be released in the month of September-october. * EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR NAVY : 1. Candidate should passed class 12 with 10+2 pattern with mathematics and physics from a recognized education board/ university. 2. Candidate must be a citizen of India. 3. Candidate must be physically fit according to the physical standards. 4. candidate must be unmarried male. |

After completing 12th examination you are definitely eligible to apply for Indian Navy Examination. NDA I 2015 Last date for receipt application has already over. NDA II 2015 Exam notification will be published in the month of June/July in the official website of UPSC as well as employment news paper.

You can join Indian navy after 12th standard through NDA exam. To become Officer in Indian navy, you have to complete graduation at least.
After graduation, you can apply CDS exam to become navy officer. Eligibility for Navy officer:- You must have passed a bachelor degree from a recognized in science stream. You must consist science background from 12th. Your age should be between 19 to 23 years. You must be physically as well as mentally fit. |

It is good to see that you are aspiring for Indian Navy and in turn, aiming to serve your motherland. You can definitely get into Indian Navy and become an officer. You can get into Indian Navy or other branches of Indian Defense Sector like Indian Army or Indian Airforce through NDA exam which is conducted twice every year in the month of April and August-September. Otherwise you can also get into Indian Navy in the following schemes.
- 10+2 (B Tech) Cadet Entry Commencement of Receipt of Application: December/ January You need 70% in PCM in 10+2. - ARTIFICER APPRENTICE Commencement of Receipt of Application: December/ January You need 60% in Physics and Mathematics in 10+2. -DIRECT ENTRY (SPORTS), SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUIT, SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUIT (SPORTS) Commencement of Receipt of Application: November/ December You need 33% in PCM. Selection Process :- Written test, Group Discussion, Interview, Physical and Medical Examination |

Eligibility criteria for Officer post in Indian Navy:-
Officers recruitment is advertised through the Employment News and all important National and Regional news papers/dailies. Selection for Permanent Commission through 10 + 2 NDA / Indian Naval Academy cadet entry and CDSE(Graduate) entry is through a written examination conducted by the UPSC, followed by an interview by the Service Selection Board (SSB).For all other Permanent Commission entries and Short Service Commission entries there is no written examination. These applications are short listed as per the criteria laid down by the Naval Headquarters, Directorate of Manpower Planning & Recruitment. Selection is through merit alone. |

I got 96 and 69 in mathematics and science respectively in class 10..
Now I am in standard 12 with physics chemistry and maths as a subject.. If. I get 86% in class 12 board.. Then what I have to do to become officer in Indian navy |

I had completed 12th standard (science) with 77% ....and PCM 70%....but my age limit is not allowing me to apply for NDA because i m 19 years old....so what next?...i wanna join navy so bad...how can i get into it...please reply
