I am in class 10th. I have joined this school in class 9th. The date of birth in transfer certificate of my previous school is 18/03/2000 and in my birth certificate it is 19/03/2000. But my school is accepting the dob written in my tc not birth certificate. How can i get my dob change in my 10th certificate as it is written in by birth certificate? Please help me!!!!!!!!!

Once you have passed class 10th, there is no procedure to change the date of birth. People can't change their date of birth just for the sake of getting any benefit.

Only way you can change your date of birth is appear for 10th again from a different board. There is no other procedure.

The only procedure to rectify this error is by going step by step through the department of your school that is in charge of these tasks. You have to convince them about the error in the transfer certificate and ask them to take up birth certificate as a proof of birth. Though this is bit difficult but it would have been better if your parents can communicate with your previous school ask them to rectify the error made by them in the T.C. You can also submit an affidavit stating your date of birth duely signed by a notary officer. This might help you to convince them. Once the office administration of your school takes up the documents for changing the error, they would send it to the concerned Board for further correspondence.

The DOB in the marksheet that has already been published has very less possibility of being changed into a fresh one. However, an attempt can be made through your school with the Board. For that you have to directly contact with your school authorities who will forward the same to the board. You would have to substantiate your claim with evidence like by giving copy of your birth certificate and make necessary applications. This will be a lengthy procedure and will engage a lot of time. You would be expected to hold your patience and follow the steps as prescribed by your school officials.

You need to contact the school where you passed the board exam first and then write an application for change of date of birth.

If it was a mistake then it can be changed with proper documents. You need to have proper documents to apply for the correction.
