Hi my daughter Dob is 26-3-2018 at which academic year she is eligible for lkg. What is the age limit for lkg admission. If I put her in pre kg on vijayadashami (September 30 2021) means for next academic year she will be in lkg but age will be just 3.2.

Minimum age limit for admission in LKG in Chennai:-

Age of candidate must be at least 3-10 years in order to get admission in LKG in CBSE board in Chennai at the time admission.
Child at the age of 3years 6months in LKG then, there won't be any problem for your child to appear in 10th standard board examination.

The minimum age of the student should be above 3 years as on April 2021 for LKG admission of 2021–2022 educational year.

The minimum age limit for admission to LKG in Chennai is 3 years 10 months. As per a new rule, there is a relaxation of 30 days for both lower and upper age limits. The DoE also provides relaxation of one year in the upper age limit for children with special needs/disabled children category for admission in CBSE schools. In ICSE schools the age of a student for LKG must be in-between 3 - 4 years at the time of admission.

The minimum age limit required to take admission in LKG in Chennai school is 3 years 6 months.

If you admit your child at the age of 3 years 6 months in LKG then, there won't be any problem for your child to appear in 10th standard board examinations.
