My daughter is born on April 2013 and now she is on prekg in a CBSE school. I want to get her admission done in LKG in any CBSE school. So tell me about the minimum age limit for this?

The minimum age limit required to get admission in LKG in any CBSE school is 4 years. That means, the candidate must have attained the minimum age of 4 years as on 31st December of the year of admission. Since, your daughter has not attained the minimum age of 4 years, she is not eligible to get admission in LKG in CBSE school.

The minimum age required to get admission in LKG in CBSE board is completion of 3 years 6 months at the time of admission.

I don't think so that your child will not be able to get admission in any CBSE school before she turns 3 and half years.

According to the guidelines of CBSE(Central Board of Secondary Education)
~ A student is eligible to give the examination of 10th standard only when he/she has attained the minimum age of 14 and must not exceed the maximum age of 16 years on 31st of march of that year.
~ For those who are looking admission in LKG of their child, age of child must lie between 3 to 5 years at 31st march of that year. So that by the time reaching in 10th standard he/she will be eligible to give exams of 10th standard.

According to the guidelines of CBSE one must complete the minimum of 14 and must not exceed the maximum of 16 years on 31st of March of that year in order to appear for 10th standard examination.

Since your son was born on 17-06-2014. He is about to become 3 years. So, yes he is eligible to get admission in LKG.

What is the minimum age required for LKG in Karnataka? People say 3 yrs 8 months (same has mentioned by some of the schools & followed strictly). Some of the schools admit with 3 yrs & 6 months. My grand daughter will be completing 3 yrs, 5 months & 25 days by 1st June 2018. Her DOB 6.12.14. Will she be allowed to sit in the 10th exam, by Feb/Mar 2030?

In 2014-15, the rules set the age for admission to LKG under the RTE quota between 3.5 and 4.5 years, and for Class 1 between 5.5 and 6.5 years. The child should be a minimum of 4 years of age if looking for LKG admission in a CBSE affiliated school. There is nothing you can do if age is below the limit.

Birth certificate is used as an age proof these days. Just ensure the age is above the limit for admission.

Hi Sir/Madam, My daughter's DOB is Feb 5, 2016., Now we are in US, this academic year 2020-2021 she is going to Junior KG. On 2021-2022 academic year, her age would be 5 years 4 months on June., Is she able to join in 1 St grade in India?(either in Chennai or Bangalore). while she is writing 10th exam her age would completed 15 years. But most of the schools eligibility criteria is 5 years 6 months., Is there is any possibility to get admission for 1 St grade?
