In ISC Board Exam the total marks in any subjects is 100 marks and pass is 40 marks.
Science papers like Physics, Chemistry, Biology has two papers, i.e., Practical and Theory.
Practical papers consists of 30 marks whereas Theory papers consists of 70 marks.

There is no such distribution of marks in practical and theory, you just need to score minimum of 40 marks including Theory and Practical marks to pass any subjects.

If you score above 40 marks in your Physics paper including Theory and Practical exams then definitely you will pass the Physics paper.

Yes of cause you are pass buddy.In ISC Board you just require minimum 40 marks to pass out of 100.Basically these 100 marks included 70 marks of theory while 30 marks of practical.

If the combination is more or equal to 40 marks then you are pass unless you are fail.

Don't worry, you are absolutely PASS because you need minimum of 23 marks in theory and a minimum of 13 marks in practical to pass

==>Theory - 70
Passing marks - 23

==>Practical 30
Passing marks - 13

In combination you need a minimum of 40 marks from 100 , so just chill and relax........

The examination consists of two papers which are given below

Paper I : Theory Paper of 3 hours of 70 marks .

Paper II : Practical work ( 20 marks ) , Project work ( 7 marks ) & Practical file (3 marks).

In order to pass you have to secure at least 40 marks overall .

Now , as the additional sum of your marks is 45 marks.

Therefore you are pass in your Physics paper .

I've heard that 35% is the passing mark in a 100 mark ISC theory paper , I'm curious as to how much do we need to score in a 80 mark theory paper, 30 and 20 mark practical test in order to pass?

The minimum pass marks to get pass in any subject in the ICSE board is 40%.
The paper will be of 100 marks.
And talking about the physics paper, the total marks would be 100 marks, which are divided into 70 marks for theory and 30 marks for practical.
All n all you need to get 40 marks out of 100, hence if you get 25 marks in theory and 20 marks in the practical, your total score would be 45 which is above 40. Hence you are pass.

Minimum 40Marks is the passing marks in all subjects out of 100.But physics exam is of 75 marks with 25 marks practical.In 75 Marks you have to get 33marks minimum in all boards.Some of the boards pass the students on 33percentage marks in Physics and any other subjects out of 100 marks.Here every thing depends on the Board where you are studying.Some of the Board takes 70 marks Physics paper and 25 marks practical paper.

So minimum 40 marks is for all board is the passing marks in all practical and theory also.
If there is 75 marks theory then you have to get 30marks and 10 marks in Practical.
