I am studying in 12th standard from UP Board. I am average in studies but my aim is to become an IPS Officer. I want to know that what percentage I have to secure in my 12th Board exam from this UP Board so that I can achieve my aim?

Your percentage in class 12th or graduation or even class 10th has nothing to do with IPS officer selection. You just need pass marks in all the academics to become eligible for UPSC Civil Services exam.

Just make sure you have got degree qualification from a recognised university with pass marks if you are looking for IPS officer exam. You need to focus more on exam pattern and syllabus of UPSC Civil Services exam.

No percentage criteria in 12th standard is required to become an IPS Officer. To become an IPS Officer, you have to appear in UPSC IAS examination. To be eligible to appear in UPSC IAS examination, youshould have passed Bachelor’s degree course in any discipline from a recognised college/ university. You should be in the age range of 21 to 32 years to be eligible to apply for IAS examination.

In order to become an IPS Officer, you must have at least graduation degree in any discipline from any recognized university and you have to appear in and qualify the Civil Services Examination (CSE) conduct by the UPSC . There is no such requirements of 12th class percentage to apply for Civil Services Examination. You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of apply for Civil Services Preliminary Examination.
