One thing you should know that if you are appearing for CBSE Board then you can not appear for NIOS board. At one time you can appear for only one board.
And according to your query NIOS board is a recognised board and if a candidate passes the 12th standard from NIOS board then he or she can definitely go for NEET exam. |

Yes, you can appear for 10+2 board exams from Central Board of Secondary Education as well as from National Institute of Open Schooling. NIOS is central government recognized board and its marksheet is valid for all competitive entrance exams and higher studies course.
You can apply for NEET exam after 10+2 from NIOS board. The last date to apply for NEET 2017 is 1st March, 2017. From 2017, there will be only three attempts for this exam upto upper age limit. The minimum age to apply for NEET 2017 is 17 years on 31st December of 2017. |

At the same time you cannot pursue 12th from two recognised board. So, you can pursue either from CBSE or NIOS board only.
Yes, NIOS ( National Institute of Open Schooling ) is a recognised board and candidates passed 12th from NIOS are eligible to appear for NEET ( National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test ) conducted by CBSE if they have passed 12th with PCB with minimum 50% relaxation for reserved category. The age limit is between 17-25 years as on 31st December of year of appearing for examination. |

Re: Possibility to appear in 12th from CBSE and NIOS board? Is NIOS marks valid for NEET exam?
NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and same is a national level medical entrance examination held for offering admission in undergraduate medical course like MBBS and BDS degree course in any medical college across India.
The minimum educational qualification required for appearing in NEET is a higher secondary school degree in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects with at least 50% aggregate from a recognized board. In case of SC/ST and PWD category candidates the minimum marks in Class 12th board examination must be 40%. Now as far as you are concerned about the validation of marks ( degree ) provided by NIOS ( National Institute of Open Schooling ) for one's eligibility for NEET then I would like to inform you that NIOS is one of the three Central board of examination in India and hence degree of same is acceptable almost everywhere and so for NEET also. For more details about NEET you can refer to the link www.cbseneet.nic.in. |

Re: Possibility to appear in 12th from CBSE and NIOS board? Is NIOS marks valid for NEET exam?
If you are pursuing from CBSE and appearing for 12th board examination with CBSE then you cannot appear for NIOS board also in the same year.
But, NIOS is a recognised board under Ministry of HRD and so the certificate of the board is valid to appear for various entrance examination such as JEE, NEET, etc. So, NIOS is valid to appear for NEET examination. NEET is conducted by CBSE and is national level entrance examination for admission in medical courses. |
