No, there is no need to write any board exam to change from one school to another school and even there is no need to get any migration certificate, if both the schools are in the same state. To change to a new school, first you have to collect following documents from your present school.
1. Transfer Certificate
2. Bonafide
3. Pass certificate of the standard, which you have completed
After getting all these certificates, you can apply for admission in a new school by submitting your application along with above specified documents

To change from one CBSE school to another school in the same district and to get admission in higher standard, you must have appeared and qualified previous standard final examinations. You need to obtain a Migration certificate from your old school and you need to submit it in your new school along with your qualifying examination marks sheet and application form. By completing the entire application procedure, you can get admission in new school and you can change from One CBSE school to other school in the same district.

Yes you need Migeration certificate for admission in another school and you must have a passing marksheet of previous year so they can gave you admission on the behalf of previous class marksheet you can easily get admission in another CBSE school , you need some certificates from old school Character Certificate , Migeration certificate , Previous Class Marksheet/Report Card
Then you can apply in any CBSE school for admission some of CBSE schools have entrance test while some of schools can give admission on the behalf of last class marksheet / Report Card

No, if you want to study under the same board of education then their is no need of such formalities, and not at all you need to write an examination twice.

If you want to change the board then follow the steps below :

1. Collect the following certificates from your current school.

* School leaving certificate

* Character certificate

* Migration certificate

* Your last result

2. Since you are trying to migrate from the CBSE to the state board then you have to get your School leaving certificate get signed by the Regional Officer of your CBSE region.

3. Check the eligibility criteria of the desired school.

4. If you fulfill the eligibility criteria then you have to apply in that and you will get the admission.
