It is sad to know the situation prevailing in your school wherein you all are not allowed to give board exams. But in reality, CBSE has not made it mandatory for the students to give board exams which does not mean that the students are not at all allowed to appear for board exams. According to the norms laid down by CBSE, any student who wants to appear for the board exams can do so with the permission from the concerned schools.

There are many schools like yours who have totally ruled out the provision of board exams in order to relieve their students from pressure and also to gain profit by conducting examinations with their autonomy. However there are many schools in India who have still made it compulsory for their students to appear for the board examinations in their tenth standard and the results of it will be considered for promotion to the next class.

According to your query, if there are many students like you who want to appear and experience board examinations, then you all can take up the following measures :-

→ Request parents of various students to have a meeting regarding this matter and come to a common conclusion collectively.

→ If there is a good number of students who want to give board examinations, then request your parents to form a group and give a written application to the Principal of your school to allow the students to appear for the board exams.

→ If there is no response from the Principal, then request the parents to go and meet the Principal. Have a discussion with him/her and bring out the positive points thereby requesting him/her to take a step in this matter.

→ If still there is no reply from the school authority you can write an application to the Headquarters of Council of CBSE.

→ You all can also take legal help to get a reply from the school authority regarding this issue.

Hope your problem will be solved and you all will be allowed to appear in the board examinations.
Our best wishes are with you.
