There is no rule as such for changing school after completion of 11th standard. However, it is true that many schools do not want to take students directly in class 12 since the result of class 12 affects the reputation of the school. The criteria for changing school in class 12 are as follows.

- You should have a character certificate depicting good character from the previous school attended.
- You should have a good background in academics.
- You should have a genuine reason of changing the school.
- You should abide by the rules of new school.
