Details on Inter University/College Transfer in Calicut University
Calicut University allows the students to transfer college or University, while pursuing a particular course. Interested students, having completed 1st and 2nd semester can seek admission to 3rd semester of another college/University. No change in elective subjects will be allowed. Inter University transfer of part time B.Tech students are also based on merit and marks from qualifying examinations. The transfer of M.B.B.S students are done strictly on the conditions lay down by Medical Council of India Regulation of 1997.
Details on Inter College transfer
The students who wish for inter collegiate transfer is required to seek permission from the Registrar by specifying the reasons related to such transfer. Applications can be made during the course and also end of academic year. The application for transfer should be attached with documents like the written consent of particular college principal, admission promise in written from the principal of the college in which the student intends to join and good conduct/satisfactory progress certificate of the college principal from where the student wish to leave. The student shall apply for combination of attendance from the college he/she studied after getting permission for transfer from the Vice-Chancellor. The filled up application along with the chalan receipt of fee paid should be send to the University Registrar through principal of the college.
Details of Inter-University transfer for Non-Professional PG students
The transfer should be done on or before the date prescribed by University for PG course admissions during the concerned academic year. Additional seats should not be created in PG course during such transfer. No change in elective subjects will be allowed. Student should appear and pass all examination of the present University irrespective of his/her failure/success of examinations from the previous University. Students should satisfy all admission rules of present university. Norms are in addition to the provisions related to transfer of students by Calicut University 1978 First Ordinance.
Details of Inter-University/College transfer (Professional Students)
For students pursuing professional courses, inter university/college transfer should be allowed on merit basis only and which will consider the marks/ranks obtained by the candidate in Entrance test. SC/ST students will get one reserved seat in every branch for such transfer. In case, if SC/ST candidates did not apply then that particular seat will be allotted to students from other category purely on merit basis. Students who have completed 1st and 2nd semester courses or appeared for the exams can attain eligibility for promotion to 3rd semester. Applications for such transfer should bear details regarding marks secured by the student in eligibility test. These details along with required documents must be sent to the address of the Registrar through the concerned college principal.
Inter University transfer of part time B.Tech students are also based on merit and marks from qualifying examinations. The transfer of M.B.B.S students are done strictly on the conditions lay down by Medical Council of India Regulation of 1997. Similarly transfer of students doing BHMS/BDS/BAMS and B.Sc Nursing are also limited in accordance with the rules of Indian Medical Council.
