My daughters dob is 17-12-2018. Whether she will be eligible for cbse lkg in 2021-2022?
If 3.6 is the right age for lkg as per board regulation she will be losing a whole year for 15 days short.

As per CBSE age criteria for nursery class a child age should be over 3 years and for a junior KG child should be above 4 years at the time of admission and for class first age should be about 5 years and 4 months.

As per this chart you can admit your child to junior KG. In ICSE also the age criteria is almost same for nursery it is 3 years and for junior KG it is 4 years.

As per the school education department the age required for a child to get admission in Ist standard is 5 years.

The minimum age for admission at the age of 3,4 and 5 years as in the month of starting the session for nursery, kindergarten and class 1 respectively.

As per the guidelines of the central board of secondary education (CBSE), the age of the student should be between 3 years to 4 years to get admission in LKG under CBSE Schools.

A suitable class for your daughter who is 4 years old is LKG. The age criteria for nursery and other classes for the year 2021-2022 which has been released by the DoE(Directorate of Education) is 4 plus years as of 31st March 2021. As per a new rule, there is a relaxation of 30 days for both lower and upper age limits. The DoE also provides relaxation of one year in the upper age limit for children with special needs/disabled children category for admission in CBSE schools.
