Hello, my brother discontinued his 9th standard and now he wants to write 10th this year. He is 16 years now. Is he eligible to write 10th, as per Bangalore board rules without going to school?

No, I am sorry to say that he cannot appear for 10th board examination if he has discontinued his studies few years ago having cleared 9th standard, he will have to get admission again in 9th standard and register once again for board examination in the concluding year and then he can very much appear for the examination in the prosepctive year.

He can fill the form of 10th exams from the NIOS as a private candidate and need not to go to school. He just needs to appear in the examinations.

The documents he will require at the time of application are :

* Previous Mark sheets.
* Identity Proof
* Photograph
* Character Certificate
