Value of NIOS education board certificate for IIT JEE examination?

NIOS stands for the National Institute of Open Schooling and it is the rcognised board under the MHRD to provide the education in the higher and senior secondary level.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for the IIT -JEE examination being the NIOS candidates. The eligibility to appear for the JEE examination conducted by the CBSE for the admission in the different government and private institution in the B.E/B.tech course is :-

* Candidates must have passed or appearing in the 10+2 from the recognised board.
* Candidates must have the PCM as the main paper in the board examination.

So, you are eligible to appear for the JEE examination as the NIOS is recognised. The examination is conducted in the two stages and the candidates have to qualify in the Mains stage to appear for the Advance to get the admission in the IIT.

So, you can continue your preparation for the examination. There are only three attempts for the JEE Mains and only two for the Advance.

For your kind information 12th class marks and board doesn't matters in JEE mains and advance. the main eligibility criteria is you must pass 12th class from any recognized Board and NIOS board is recognized board in India.
