Is it benificial for 10th class student to shift from cbse to gujarat board.cbse students get more opportunities in colleges in gujarat or gujarat board student.what should he do?

Getting admission in Gujarat is much more easier for a gseb student rather than a cbse student.

There is this thing called percentile that's the base of getting admission in Gujarat.

So in case you aren't sure of what's percentile, you can just shortly take it as a ranking system in terms of percentage.

A percentile of a student suggests that this many students are lagging behind him or he is far ahead of this many students. All this takes place on the Gujarat level, to be specific only gseb board level.

For admission in gujarat board you need some percentage of your board + some percentage of your GUJCET marks. So if you have not registered for GUJCET exam then you have no chance to get rank, and if you don't have rank, no chance to get admission in ACPC Counseling (which takes place merit rank wise).

What are the chances of getting admission in colleges of Gujarat?

Admission in colleges of Gujarat is depended on the performance of the candidate in class 12th or the performance of the candidate in the entrance exam of the college. Because admission in top government college is based on the entrance test. Whether you do your 10th from CBSE of State Board, you would have to do good in class 12th as well as in entrance exam to get admission in college.

The reservation in general is offered on the basis of domicile certificate.

So, even candidates passed from CBSE board or any other recognised board having domicile of state of Gujarat are eligible for the reservation if any offered to candidate of the state.

Although you can select the board for your std 12th as per your comfort.

You can take admitted to colleges of Gujarat by studying in any board as it does not depend on any board whether you do it from CBSE or Gujarat board. If you want to take benefit of the state quota then you can choose the Gujarat board.

If you are planning for IIT then choose CBSE because the syllabus of CBSE is aligned with various entrance tests so it will be beneficial in this case to choose CBSE over the Gujarat board. If you want to do engineering in Gujarat state then you can choose the state board that is Gujarat board.

The minimum marks for getting admission into a government engineering college is an aggregate of 75% in lass 12th board examinations.

Some goervnment colleges have a relatively low cutoff ranging as low as 65-70%. Also, the cutoffs are different in government engineering colleges for different caste categories.

Both GSEB and CBSC boards are good. There is not so much of a change. Gseb is for students in Gujarat. If you are a good student from the Gujarat Board, you can perform well in your class 12 exam, then definitely you will get a chance in good colleges. So, boards do not matter in this case.

CBSC and GSEB boards are both excellent. There hasn't been a huge difference.* Gujarat students can get admission to*Gseb. If you are a top student from the Gujarat Board and you do well on your class 12 exam, you will undoubtedly have the opportunity to enrol in a reputable college.
