NTSE stands for National Talent Search Examination. It is an national level aptitude test conducted by the National Council of Educational Research Training (NCERT), New Delhi for award of scholarships for the students studying in 10th class.

Eligibility for NTSE exam :-
All the students of Class X who are studying in recognized schools are eligible to appear for the Stage I examination, when the NTSE exam is conducted by their respective States.

NTSE Exam Dates 2014 :-
Stage I Examination (State-wise) :-
-->Examination in Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Andaman and Nicobar Islands :- 1st November 2014 (Saturday).
-->Examination in All other States and Union Territories :- 2nd November 2014 (Sunday).

Stage II Examination (National) :-Examination in All States and Union Territories :- 10th May 2015 (Sunday).
