As we all know that MP-PET is scrapped in favor of JEE-MAIN.
MP-PET has no limit on number of attempts as long as age citeria is fullfilled. So my question is since it is replaced by JEE-MAIN, so a candidate who has no more attempts for jee-main can apply for jee-main in a view to get admission in state colleges next year ? If there was MP-PET it was allowed. So what about JEE-MAIN? Plz reply soon.

Since, the MP-PET has been replaced by the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), the rules of the JEE will be different from the MP-PET exam. As, there are no maximum number of attempts for appearing the MP-PET exam if you satisfy the eligibility criteria, but, the JEE main has maximum of 3 attempts. After that you are not eligible to appear for the JEE Main exam.

Suppose, if you are appearing in 12th standard in 2014, then you can appear for the JEE Main 2014 examination and after completion of 12th standard, you will have two more chances to appear for the JEE exam. Then, you can utilise these two chances for appearing in JEE 2015 and JEE 2016 examination. After that, you are not eligible to appear for the JEE 2017 examination. Since, if you have appeared three times for JEE Main, then you are not eligible for the JEE Main examination as you have completed the maximum number of attempts.
