Re: Whether a student is eligible to appear in 10th NIOS exam if not completed 9th CBSE?
NIOS stands for National Institute of Open Schooling. No, your son is not eligible to appear for NIOS 10th Class examination without completing 9th standard. Candidates who have qualified 9th standard and who have are appearing for 10th standard from NIOS board are eligible to appear for NIOS 10th Class examination. The final examinations for X and XII standards will be held twice a year in the months of April–May and October–November on dates fixed by the NIOS. So, without completion of 9th standard, your son cannot appear for NIOS 10th examination.
