I will be getting 140 marks in aieee 2011. i am from panjab.can i get PEC/NITs' /IIIT's. with branch related computer .I can wait till the last round of counselling is over.

Getting to colleges like Punjab Engineering College IITs and NIT's is not a simple issue

for this you should be exceptionally talented

and coming to marks concern Know about is

AIEEE is the most prestigious engineering entrance examination conducted every year

For this exam due to day by day increase in no. of students appearing for the examination

the cutoff is also increasing day by day

and the examination pattern is not constant likewise the Max Marks of the exam

In 2008 it was 314 marks

In 2010 it is 432 marks

so it is not constant and also the cut offs varies very widely

the no. of applicants for this exam will be nearly around 6 lacs +

so deciding a particular cutoff now itself is not good

but i can tell you one thing that is you should at least get 80% of marks in the entrance examination then only think about seat in colleges

Forget all these and concentrate on getting good marks then automatically you will get the desired seat

this is all i want to say..

It is really tough to get seat in the colleges u prefer,because it needs more cut-off than what u have scored....

U just try your level best in the admision fo good colleges...

AIEEE is the entrance exam for the admission in engineering. Day by day number of students are increasing in this exam to appear.

So it is very difficult to predict the cut off list of PEC/NITs/IIITs, but 140 marks are not enough to take the admission in the colleges desired by you.

You have not mentioned whether you are in the reserved quota or not. If you are in reserved quota then also it is very difficult.

So do not think much on this point. which ever college you get take admission and complete the B.E. with good marks then you will get good placement.

There are few chances of yours to get a branch in computers but you may get a good branch like civil and mechanical and electrical

I am sorry but you are not getting good marks for getting nit.
But there a chance for you in private coleges

140 marks mean that you will get a rank of around 40,000 which is definitely NOT an optimum score to get PEC/NIT/IIIT . you may try for private engineering colleges such as BIT MESRA Patna and Deoghar extension centers but their date of online application for institutional counselling 2011 is already over on 25th June,2011 ,hence you may now take admission in other private colleges in your region or try for Haryana state online counselling-2011,you will definitely get a good seat.
