Hi, i am a housewife, from hyd. I have completed my M.com and now want to do B.ed with English as the main subject. how shall i proceed?.

You need to have either a graduation or post graduation degree in English subject to apply for B.Ed in English. Graduation is important for B.Ed. But since you need to teach English subject after B.Ed you should have a graduation in that subject area itself. 50% marks is necessary for this. Admission for this will be on the basis of common entrance examination.

There are basically two possible ways to pursue Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program after completion of graduation or higher qualification.

Regular Mode
Distance Mode

Most of the universities offering B.Ed through regular mode considers candidates who have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam. However, there are few universities which considers students who have scored even 45% marks in the qualifying examination.

Now, in order to pursue the program through distance mode, you must have a minimum of two years of teaching experience and must be presently working as a teacher in a recognized school. There is no percentage criteria for pursuing Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program through distance mode.

So, depending upon your academic qualification, experience, if any, you may apply for any of two modes available for pursuing Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program. i am private teacher in CG state and wanted to do my B.ed from Bihar in ignou distance mode does my teaching experience will be valid there ?
