Candidate who seeks to pursue Master of Education [M.Ed] must have completed the Bachelor of Education [B.Ed] from a recognized University/Institute. There are some recognized Institutions which offers M.Ed through distance mode.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University offers distance M.Ed program. Candidate having completed the Bachelor of Education [B.Ed] from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks along with two years experience are eligible to pursue the program. The duration of the program is two years which can be completed at the maximum duration of four years. The M.Ed program, is jointly developed by the Distance Education Council [DEC] and National Council for Teacher Education [NCTE].
