Yes, you can apply for a schooling visa for your son. The visa is called the Student Visa (Subclass 500). To be eligible for the visa, your son must meet the following requirements:
  • Be enrolled in a school in Australia that is approved by the Department of Education.
  • Have a sufficient level of English proficiency.
  • Have enough money to support himself or herself while in Australia.
  • Have a genuine intention to study in Australia.
Your husband can also apply for a visa to accompany your son. He would need to apply for a Partner Visa (Subclass 101) or a Dependant Child Visa (Subclass 445).
The cost of the schooling visa depends on your nationality. For citizens of India, the visa costs AUD$630. The cost of the Partner Visa or Dependant Child Visa depends on your husband's nationality.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
