What kind of questions are asked in GMAT? Suitable books for preparation?

Respected Sir/Madam, I am interested in giving the GMAT entrance exam. But, the problem is I am unable to find books that will help me for GMAT. Can you suggest some books to me? I don’t know what questions come? Are the questions similar to entrance exams held in India?
