Gaurav College of Education was established by Mahatma Jyotiba Fule Vidyapeeth Samiti and it is affiliated to University of Rajasthan. The Samiti was mainly formed with the aim of spreading education and rural areas of the state of Rajasthan and the college was also established with the same purpose. The college has pledged to work towards the welfare of the nation by shaping and grooming the students in all walks of life.

Course Offered:

Gaurav College is a co-education institution offering one-year bachelor of education course and the college sets fees as per the norms set by the government every year. The college is hoping to introduce Master of Education course in the future.

Eligibility for admission:

For getting admission to the B. Ed course, the candidate must have secured a minimum of 45% of marks either in the UG/PG course. In the case of SC/ST and other backward class candidates, 5% mark relaxation is offered. The college reserves certain percentage of seats for SC/ST and OBC candidates every year as per the norms set by the state/central government.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates to the college is made on the basis of the marks secured by them in the qualifying examination. In addition to this, the candidates must also have cleared the PTET examination conducted by any university with approval from NCTE.

Education Activities of the college:

Timely workshops, group discussions, symposiums, seminars and guest lectures are arranged by the college so as to enable the students to exchange the knowledge.

Infrastructure:

The college is offering separate hostel facilities for girls and boys and the library of the college can be described as facts and information hub since it is helpful not only for the students, but also for teachers to develop knowledge in their field of education. The other infrastructural facilities included in the college are language learning lab, science lab, psychology lab, etc…
