How to Prepare for KMAT?
The Karnataka Management Aptitude Test is the management entrance exam and this is conducted for admitting the students into MCA and MBA courses. These courses are offered by recognized colleges under the various universities of Karnataka. Karnataka Private Postgraduate College Association is the body entrusted with conducting this exam. This is basically for those wanting seats in the management quota. This is quite a popular exam in Karnataka.
The test is usually conducted in the month of June or July. Under graduates in any discipline from the recognized board or university are allowed to apply. At least 50% marks in the bachelor degree is a must. The pattern of this exam may change each year.
Structure of the KMAT
The candidate has to attend basic test on mathematical skills and language comprehension. The students who want to join in MBA program should appear for written test. Those who wish to join in MCA program have to appear for general logical reasoning test. The combined MCA and MBA exam covers section like language comprehension, mathematical skills, basic aptitude and logical reasoning. The duration of this exam is 160 minutes. The MBA Entrance Exam will get questions from language comprehension, mathematical skills and aptitude. It is a two hours test.

The language comprehension section covers
- Reading Comprehension
- Synonyms
- Antonyms
- Preposition
- Tenses
- Essay writing etc
The Mathematical skill covers the syllabus of
- Numbers
- Algebra
- Time and distance
- Probability
- Percentage
- Profit and loss etc
The logical reasoning section consists of Coding and decoding, DI, analogies, DS, etc. The aptitude section consists of basic management questions and computer awareness questions.

- Wren and Marten for Verbal Ability
The candidate should improve their vocabulary skills by reading English newspapers, magazines and watch English news. They can practice many online tests to improve their language skills.
Study Plan for KMAT
They have to study all the portions thoroughly. Also they have to solve problems. They should remember all formulas and important points. Thorough preparation of each section can be done by creating a timetable. This will help to know their preparation level as well they can rectify their mistakes.
