Institute of Hotel Management(IHM), Aurangabad conducts an admission process for admission to its bachelor courses in hotel management and culinary arts. IHM provides 4 year BA(Hons) in Hotel Management & BA(Hons) in Culinary Arts courses. IHM is a premier institute for hotel management in India. It was formed jointly by two renowned institutions:Dr. Rafiq Zakaria’s - Maulana Azad Educational Trust and Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces. With such support system no doubt its courses are the most aspired by Hotel Mangement aspirants from throughout the country.
IHM’s programs are affiliated to University of Huddersfield, U.K and are recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Selection to its programmes are based on a written test followed a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview. Only the candidates who clear the written test are called for interview/group discussion. The entrance examination is conducted at Taj Hotels in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata & Chennai & IHM Aurangabad.
Eligibility Criteria:
A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English as a subject. Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2010 can also apply.
Applications forms:
Candidates can download the form through IHM’s website www.ihma.ac.in. Candidates have to send a demand draft along with the filled application form.
Important Dates(Tentative):
Commencement of sale of application form: Mid of April, 2010
Last date of submitting application forms: May 1st week, 2010
Dates for entrance examination:May 3rd-4th week, 2010

Pattern of Examination:
The written test will be of 100 marks and 90 minutes duration. It will consist of objective type questions from the following sections:
Abstract Reasoning
Verbal Reasoning
Reading Comprehension
Numerical Reasoning
General Knowledge
To qualify the written test atleast 45% marks are needed. Those who qualify the written test are called for Personal Interview & Group Discussion. Final selection is based on the following weightage criteria:
Written Test:40%
Group Discussion:20%
Personal Interview:40%
