Jayam College of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 1998 by Jayam Educational Health and Charitable Trust. This institute is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and is approved by the norms of All India Council of Technical Education. After establishment, the college has gained reputation for providing quality education in commendable facilities and with great discipline. Facilities:

The college has a big library with latest Wi-Fi facilities built on a vast area of above 7,000 square feet. The books are classified in accordance with the Universal Classification Scheme and it can be accessed with Open access system. Library has a collection of over 22,000 volumes of books and over 1,800 Compact Discs for the benefit of the students. The institute also has a digital library with 35 laptops working on high speed internet connection. Separate hostel facility is available for boys and girls with necessary services round the clock. The college also operates 15 buses for transporting students from Salem, Marandahalli, Dharmapuri, Pennagaram, Krishnagiri and Bommidi.

Admission:

The Admission process is guided by the rules of Anna University and as per the guidelines issued by the Tamilnadu Engineering Exams.

Placement:

The college has a placement cell which functions effectively in imparting training and building personality skills in the students. It also makes arrangements for conducting campus interviews by the visiting consultant and other corporate officials. It guides the students in every crucial stage through counseling.
