Mangalayatan University was formed with a strong belief in the fact that ‘as your island of knowledge develops, so does your shoreline’, which denotes that ultimate resource underlines prosperity and well-being. The university has nine institutions under its jurisdiction offering courses in areas of visual & performing arts, legal studies, education, hospitality management, computer application, mass communication, journalism, business management, pharmacy, biotechnology and engineering. The university was created under the Mangalayatan University U.P. Act with the right and responsibility to confer degrees under section 22 (1) and 2 (f) of the University Grants Commission Act. The term Mangalayatan was formed by combining two words being Mangal and Ayatan that indicates a place that endows contentment, bliss and positive vibrations.
