J.D. Women’s College shortly called as JDWC came into existence in the year 1971 and it is offering education by working as a constituent unit of the Magadh University located in Bodh Gaya. The college was established with the objective of fostering the cause of education for women in the whole state of Bihar.

Courses offered:

JDWC offers different UG, PG, intermediate courses and add-on courses and the names of courses offered are given below:

UG Courses:

• Bachelor of Computer Applications

• Electronics Equipment Maintenance Programme

PG Courses:

• Master of Business Administration

• Master of Computer Applications

Admission Procedure:

UG Courses: Admission of students to the UG courses offered by the college is done based on the performance of the students in the written test conducted by the college followed by interview. The college will prepare merit list of selected candidates based on their performance in written test and interview.

MBA: Admission of students to the MBA course will be based on the marks secured by the students in any of the management admission tests like ATMA, XAT, JMAT, CAT and MAT, any of these examinations would have been taken by the students in the same academic year in which they are seeking admission.

MCA: For MCA course admission, the college conducted written test called as JDMCAET at all India level. Candidates getting through the written test will be called for GD and interview.

How to apply:

The college issues notification in leading newspapers inviting applications from candidates to apply to different courses. On publication of this notification, candidates can get the application form and information bulletin personally from the office of the college on payment of Rs.550 (MCA & MBA) and Rs. 350 (for EEM & BCA) in cash. Application can also be downloaded through the website of the college and in this case, candidates will have to pay the cost of application of Rs. 600 (MCA & MBA) and Rs.400 (UG Courses) the form of DD drawn in favor of the Director, J.D. Women’s College payable at Patna or through SBI Bank Challan. Duly filled-in application along with self attested copies of certificates should be submitted in person or through post to the office of the college before the last date specified by the college.
