Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) was established in 1959. The institution is one among the best institutions in India for applied and basic research and technological education. It has about 1250 supporting and administrative staff, 4500 students and 460 faculty members. In different pure science and engineering disciplines, the institute has a number of advanced research centers and 15 educational departments. The institute has about 100 laboratories for the benefit of students and researchers.

Pay Scale – Security cum Fire Officer - Rs.1560039100+ GP 5400; Junior Systems Engineer - Rs. 930034800+ GP 4200;  Assistant Systems Engineer/Officer - Rs. 1560039100+ GP 5400; Deputy Systems Engineer/Officer - Rs. 1560039100+ GP 6600; Assistant Registrar - Rs. 1560039100+ GP 5400;  Deputy Registrar - Rs. 1560039100+ GP7600; Medical Officer - Rs. 1560039100+ GP5400+NPA and Chief Medical Officer - Rs. 1560039100 + GP7600 + NPA.

Eligibility:

Age Criteria –The upper age limit for Junior Systems Engineer is 32 yrs. For all other posts, the upper age limit is 55 yrs. (Relaxable as per rules).
