Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board precisely called as DSSSB was incorporated by the Government of NCT of New Delhi with a view to recruit appropriate candidates for different services in government organizations in Delhi by conducting recruitment examinations, written test and interview.

Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board has invited applications from eligible candidates for various positions under Group B and Group C position among which the position of Librarian in Directorate of Education comes under the category of Group B position and here are the details regarding the qualification requirement for this position:

Name of the Vacancy: Librarian in Directorate of Education (Post Code: 40/11)

Number of Vacancies: 89 (OBC-37 (including OH – 01 and VH - 03, UR-52)

Period of Probation: Two years

Pay Brand: Appointed candidates will be coming under the pay brand of Rs.9300-34800+GP of Rs.4600.

Eligibility requirements:

Educational qualification: Graduation from a recognized university or equivalent with degree or equivalent diploma in library science from a recognized institution of university.

Experience: Candidates must possess at least two years of experience in computerization of library or they must have done one-year certificate course in Computer Application from a recognized institution.

Age: The upper age limit is 32 years, which is relaxable by 5 years for SC candidates, three years for OBC candidates, ten years for PH candidates, 13 years for PH & OBC candidates, 15 years for PH & SC candidates and for government servants it is five years in accordance with government rules of central government.

Process of recruitment:

DSSSB will be conducting a combined Part I preliminary objective type examination for a duration of one year and Part II Main descriptive type examination for three hours at one go. Application fee:

The cost of application for this group B position is Rs.100 and this fee should be paid in the form of DD drawn in favor of the Secretary, DSSSB. Candidates can get the application from the office of DSSSB on all working days except Saturday and Sunday between 10:00am and 05.00pm.

Application in prescribed format as given in the website of DSSSB should be copied on a white sheet and duly filled application along with other documents and DD to the application receiving counter, Office of DSSSB, FC-18, Institutional area, Karkar Dooma, Delhi-110 092 and even application can be sent through post to the office of DSSSB before the 17th of November 2011.
