Job Profile:

Online applications are invited from qualified candidates for making recruitment on the following positions of Clerks in Subordinate Services Selection Board, Punjab. The vacancies are available in various departments of Punjab Government and Deputy Commissioner offices.


Candidates are required to be within the prescribed age limit set for the post of Clerk in Subordinate Services Selection Board, Punjab. Reserved categories candidates may get relaxation in the prescribed maximum age limit as per the rules of Government of India. This age criteria is need to be fulfilled by the interested candidates.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institute or university of India is required for the post of Clerk in Subordinate Services Selection Board, Punjab. Candidates are also required to have computer course experience from any 9001 ISO recognized institute or candidates should have passed Computer Information technology course equivalent to “O” level course from DOEACC. Those candidates, who have passed 10th standard alongwith Punjab language as one of the main subject.

Various departments & DC Offices: 441 posts are available.
(Gen-207, OBC-104, SC-50, Ex.SM-52, PWD-9 and Sports-12)

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 5910-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.

Selection Process:

There are two stages in the Selection Process for the above specified positions:

1. Competitive Written Examination
2. Personal Interview Test

The final selection of best suitable candidates will be made strictly on the basis of the result of both the stages of selection process i.e. written test and personal interview test.

How to apply: Applications must be made in the prescribed format only at the official website of Subordinate Services Selection Board. Interested and eligible candidates are required to apply online only. Candidates should apply online from 30 July 2011 to 24 August 2011 upto 5 PM. Candidates should take a printout of the submitted application for future reference.
