Telangana University is situated at the city called as Nizamabad in the state of AP and it was formed under the AP State Legislature Act 2006. The jurisdiction of the university is spread over three districts Nizamabad, Medak and Adilabad of the state of AP. An area of 577 acres of land was handed over the state government in Nadipally and Suddapally villages. The campus of the university comprises of boys and girls hostels, classroom complex and administrative blocks. Apart from these buildings, the university is planning to construct separate blocks for management and commerce, law and computer department with the help of the administrative sanction given by the government of AP. The university is having the aim of bringing quality education to the backward people living in the Telegana region particularly in the districts of Adilabad and Nizamabad. The Telangana University is striving to enlighten the personalities of the students and motivating excellence of education with a view to mould the future of the students in the fields selected by them. The cherished ideals of the university are to ignite the minds of the future citizens and to impart education qualitatively by showing unambiguous commitment. The university is offering masters degree in courses like English, Hindi, mass communication, Telugu studies, Urdu, applied economics, MCA, MBA and several other subjects in the faculty of commerce, arts and science. Initially, the university was started with just six courses in the year 2006 and seven more courses were introduced by the university in the year 2007 and further five more courses were introduced in the year 2008 thereby offering a total of 18 master degree courses apart from LLB, MCA and MBA.
