Acharya Nagarjuna University popularly known as Nagarjuna University was established in the year 1976 by an act of the legislature of the state of Andhra Pradesh. Initially, the university was started to offer only 10 post graduate courses through its constituent colleges. Since then the university has achieved progress steadily through qualitative improvements and quantitative expansion on different educational areas.
