Punjab National Bank is a state owned commercial bank. The bank was founded in the year 1894 and is considered as the second largest state owned commercial bank present in India. The bank has a network of five thousand branches spreaded across 764 cities. The bank has reprensetative offices in Shangai and Dubai as well. Mr. K. R. Karnath is the present Chairmand and Managing Director of the bank. The bank has its headquarter located at New Delhi. There are approximatley fifty seven thousand employees working in the bank (as per the year 2010).

Job Profile:

Punjab National Bank is inviting applications from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the following vacant posts of Management Trainees in Junior Management Scale-I. Only online applications are invited from the applicants. Only tose candiates, who possess a valid CWE socrecard are eligible to apply. Number of vacancies is provisional and may vary as per the actual requirment of the Bank. Selected candidates should be willing to serve anywhere in India.

Eligibility:

Candidates must be a citizen of India.

The minimum age limit set for the post of Management Trainee is 20 years as on 1 July 2011.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Management Trainee is 28 years as on 1 July 2011.

Relaxation of 5 years will be provided to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes candidates. Candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes categories will be provided the relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit. Physically Challanged candidates will also get relaxation of 10 years.

Educational Qualification:

Graduation degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent from a recognized institute or university. Candidates are also required to possess working knowledge of MS Office. SC/ST/PWD candidates are required to possess minimum 55% marks in aggregate at their Graduation degree, for being eligible to apply. Besides the specified academic qualification, candidates should also possess a valid IBPS score card obtained in CWE for POs/MTs held during year 2011.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the consolidated salary of Rs. 14500-25700 per month.

Application Fee:

Candidates must pay the non refundable application fee and postage charges. Rs. 200 is the amount of application fee that is need to be paid by General/OBC/ Ex-Serviceman candidates. SC/ST/PWD candidates are required to pay only postage charges of Rs. 50. The application fee must be paid in cash at any branch of Punjab National Bank. Candidates should download the payment challan from the bank’s website for paying application fee.
