Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is a flagship programme run by the Government of India. The primary aim of the programme is to achieve Universalization of Elementary Education. SSA works under the partnership with State Governments to provide free and compulsory education to children of 6-14 years. The programme opens new schools in places lacking schooling facilities. It puts maximum effort to provide additional class rooms, drinking water, toilets, maintenance grant and school improvement grants in order to strengthen the existing infrastructure of some schools.
Job Profile:
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) Authority Punjab requests application for the post of Master/Mistress in different subjects on contract basis.
No. of posts – 3725 (Hindi - 753; Science - 538; Punjabi - 522; Maths - 476; English – 1436)
Pay Scale - Consolidated payment of Rs. 16,500 per month.
Eligibility:
Age Criteria - Minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age limit is 42 years. Age limit is relaxable as per rules of Punjab Government.
Educational Qualification – Candidates applying for each post must satisfy the educational qualification and experience prescribed the Government of Punjab. For further details refer http://www.ssapunjab.org/sub%20pages/media.htm.
Selection Process:
Deserving candidates will be selected for the post based on merit.

Eligible candidates must apply only through online. The online application form will be available at “Recruitment of masters/mistress and teachers under SSA” link on the website http://www.ssapunjab.org/sub%20pages/media.htm. Online application can be submitted from 23.11.2010 to 10.12.2010.

I Hereby want to say that the final merit list for SSA master mistress should be prepared according to the previous numbers also which the candidates have got in Elective English in their colleges as well as in masters.Only preparing the merit list by keeping in mind the numbers of entrance test is not fair.I hope you will understand and make the merit list according to overall performance.
