M.K.B. Mahila B. Ed Mahavidyalaya is running under the control of Maya Kanwar Ba Mahila Vikas Samiti, which is a registered society under Rajasthan Society Registration Act 1958. The institute aims at developing value-based knowledge at different fields of education thereby uplifting the society in the field of education. The college has educational, instructional and infrastructural facilities according to the standards and norms of National Council for Teacher Education.

Course details:

M.K.B. Mahila B. Ed Mahavidyalaya offers secondary teacher education course, commonly known as Bachelor of Education and the course is meant for preparing teacher’s for primary and secondary school teaching. The college is affiliated to the Jainarayan Vyas University located in Jodhpur that has approved the institute with an intake capacity of 100 students per year. The course extends to a period of one academic year with teaching subjects being mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, home science, social studies, Sanskrit, English and Hindi.

Eligibility requirement:

For seeking admission to the B. Ed course offered by the M.K.B. Mahila B. Ed Mahavidyalaya, candidates must have completed their UG/PG degree with not less than two school subjects at the graduation level with an aggregate marks of at least 50%, which is 42% for SC/ST candidates and 45% for OBC candidates according to the policy of the National Council for Teacher Education and Government of Rajasthan.

Admission Procedure:

Admission of students will be done based on their merit in the entrance examination called as PTET conducted by the Jainarayan Vyas University located in Jodhpur according to the norms of the Government of Rajasthan.

Course curriculum:

Every future-teacher will have to attend a minimum of 180 teaching days in the year excluding the period of admission and the period of examination. Students will also have to undergo internship in teaching practice inclusive of skill development and practicing teaching for a minimum of 30 days in nearby secondary or senior secondary school.

Facilities to students:

The students of M.K.B. Mahila B. Ed Mahavidyalaya have at their disposal a modern digital library with a comprehensive collection of more than 3300 magazines and books and they are also offered with the facility of access the broadband internet facility. The campus of the college also has an auditorium with a capacity to accommodate 300 students and the auditorium is provided with modern multimedia facilities. The college also offers transportation facilities to the students for free commuting from their homes to college.
