Admission Process for M.Tech in NIT, Calicut

Those candidates who wish to pursue M.Tech from NIT, Calicut should satisfy some eligibility criteria. Apart from the qualification in undergraduate degree they should also qualify the M.Tech entrance examination, i.e. GATE. This examination is organized every year in order to select the eligible candidates for the M.Tech programmes in various institutions.

Admission to the M.Tech programmes in NITC is strictly based on the merit score. A minimum score of 95 in GATE is necessary for admission in this institution. Candidates with these valid GATE score can apply for M.Tech programme in NIT via online. Prior to this they must draw an application fee of Rs.300/- as DD. The print out of the application form and DD should be send to the specified address along with other necessary documents.

Fee structure of M.Tech in NIT, Calicut

The fee structure for M.Tech programmes in NIT is usually affordable to all students. The tuition fee for the programme is Rs.17, 500/- per semester. In addition to this tuition fee, there are other charges for some particulars like examination fee, computer fee, library fee, registration and enrolment fee, medical and insurance fee, etc. A caution deposit of Rs.1000/- is charged from the students, this amount is refundable. Thus a total fee of Rs.25, 302/- should be paid by the student at the time of admission. Those candidates who wish to use the hostel facilities should pay an additional amount of Rs.13, 000/-.
