Andhra Pragathi Grameena Bank came into existence in the year 2006 on the 1st of June and the bank was established by amalgamating three Regional Rural Banks namely Pinakini Grameena Bank, Sree Anantha Grameena Bank and Rayalaseema Grameena Bank.

Andhra Pragathi Grameena Bank has invited applications from eligible Indian candidates for the post of Office Assistant (multipurpose) and the details regarding the notification issued by the bank for the same are given below:

Name of the Vacancy: Office Assistant (Multipurpose) - Clerical Cadre (Post code – 04)

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 128, which is divided as follows:

SC - 20

OBC – 34

ST – 08

General – 66

Out of the total 128 posts, 1 post each is reserved for OC, HI and VH candidates and 18 posts for Ex-servicemen candidates.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will come under the pay brand of 7200-400/3-8400-500/3-9900-600/4-12300-700/7-17200-1300/1-18500-800/1-19300

Eligibility requirements:

Educational qualification: Candidates must have completed their degree in any discipline with proficiency in Telugu Language and they must be able to read, write and speak in Telugu. Candidates with computer skills are desirable for the position of Office Assistant (multipurpose).

Age: Age requirement for the position of Office Assistant is between 18 and 28 and upper age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates.

Selection Procedure:

Written test followed by interview will be the criteria for selection of candidates. The written test is fixed to be conducted on 15th of January 2012. For details about the centres for examination, candidates can visit the notification page at

Application fee:

Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs.300, which is non-refundable and inclusive of postal charges and SC/ST candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs.50, which is postal charges alone. The fee should be paid through APGB Fee Payment Challan form No-4 at all branches of Syndicate Bank by downloading the challan from the website of the APGB Bank. Fee payment can also be paid by NEFT from any other bank to the account of APGB with Syndicate Bank main branch, Kadapa to the account No. 31901050000030 (IFSC CODE SYNB 0003190). Fee should be paid between 29th of September and 28th of October 2011.

How to apply:

Candidates meeting the requirements, will have to apply online through the website of the bank at between 29th September and 28th of October 2011. Once application is made online, the print out should be kept by the candidates for future reference and no other means of application will be accepted.
