Himachal Gramin Bank was established in the year 1976 on the 23rd of December and the bank was established according to the provisions of the Regional Rural Banks Act 1976. The bank is operating with its head office in the city of Mandi and it is sponsored by the Punjab National bank.

Himachal Gramin Bank has called for online applications from eligible Indian citizens for the position of Office Assistant (multipurpose) and the details regarding the notification issued by the bank in this respect are given below:

Name of the Vacancy: Office Assistants (Multipurpose) (Post Code: 03)

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 62, which is divided among the different categories of candidates as follows:

General– 31

OBC – 12

ST – 03

SC – 16

Of these 62 posts, 01 post is reserved for PWD candidates inclusive of VI, HI and OC candidates and 06 posts are reserved for EXS candidates.

Pay Scale: Appointed candidates will be coming under the pay scale of 7200 – 400/3 – 8400 – 500/3 – 9900 – 600/4 – 12300 – 700/7 – 17200 – 1300/1 – 18500 – 800/1 – 19300.

Eligibility requirements:

Educational qualification: To apply for the position of Office Assistant in Himachal Gramin Bank, candidates must be graduates in any discipline from a recognized university and they should be proficient in local language (Hindi). Desirable qualification is knowledge of computers.

Selection Procedure:

Selection will be based on the performance of candidates in written test and interview. Cost of application:

The application fee to be paid by SC/ST/person with disability is Rs.100 and the amount to be paid by other candidate is Rs.500. This amount should be paid by the candidates through Himachal Gramin Bank/Punjab National Bank challan – 02 that can be obtained from the website of Himachal Gramin Bank at http://www.himachalgraminbank.org/ After filling in the required details in the challan form, the fee should be paid to Himachal Gramin Bank or Punjab National Bank. Once the fee is paid, candidates will have to retain the candidate copy of the challan to be produced at the time of written test. Application fee should be paid between 17th of January 2012 and 16th of February 2012.
