Osmania University is one of the famous Universities in India as it imparts quality education in the various fields. It offers various undergraduate, post graduate and doctorial programs in different specializations. Osmania University conducts entrance exams annually for admitting the eligible candidates against the offered B.Ed seats.

Structure of Osmania University B.Ed Entrance Exam

The entrance test will be conducted in an objective type multiple choice format. There will be a total of 100 questions which has to b completed within 90 minutes duration. The question paper consists of three sections. The first part consists of General English questions for about 20 marks. The second section consists of General knowledge as well as teaching aptitude questions (20 marks). The third section consists of 60 questions. The questions will be based on the subject that has been chosen by the candidate. This section of the examination carries 60 marks.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate with B.A./B.Sc. with Mathematics as one of the group subjects or B.C.A. candidates with Mathematics at Intermediate level can apply for the B.Ed in Mathematics.
  • Candidates with B.Sc. Physics and Chemistry or allied material sciences under Part – II group subjects or B.C.A. with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at Intermediate level can opt for B.Ed in Physics or Chemistry
  • Candidates with B.Sc in Botany and Zoology or allied Life Sciences or B.Sc. in Home Science under Part – II group subjects or B.C.A with Biological Sciences at  Intermediate level as group subject can choose B.Ed in Botany or Zoology.
  • Students with B.A./B.Com./B.B.M. or B.C.A. candidates with Social Sciences at Intermediate level

Apart from this, the candidates should hold atleast two years experience of school teaching from a recognized Primary/Elementary/Secondary school.

How to apply?

The admission brochure and the application forms can be obtained from the Director, Department of Publications and Press of the Osmania University. The application forms for the B.Ed examination costs Rs 100/-. Aspirants can also buy the application forms through post by sending a request along with a DD of Rs 100/- to the Director, Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University. The filled up applications have to be sent to “The Director, Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University” along with a DD of Rs 550/- which is payable at Hyderabad to The Director, Directorate of Admissions, Near University Press, Osmania University.

How to fill the Form?

Candidate should fill their full name and address in block letters as same as that in the original documents. Special care should be taken while filling the contact number in order to avoid mistakes. The category as well as the date of birth should be mentioned clearly in the provided space. A recent photograph of the candidate should be affixed in the space provided for the same.
